The 3MT ScotchlokT connector is suitable for connecting single or multi-wire conductors in installation wiring technology. With a cross-section range of 0.5 to 1.5 square millimeters, it enables a through connection on uncut conductors. The ScotchlokT connector can withstand a maximum voltage of up to 600 volts and a limit temperature of 105 °C. It can be used in the control, measurement and regulation area as well as in automotive electronics and switchgear construction. Its functionality is based on the principle of a U-element: the conductors to be connected are fed into the connector without having to be stripped beforehand. By applying light pressure with the pliers, the U-elements remove the wire insulation, increase the contact area and establish contact with the conductor. The U-element, which is under spring tension, encloses the individual wires and ensures a mechanically strong, shock-proof, electrically perfect and permanent connection. The connector has been tested and certified by the institute according to EN60998-2-3 and has met the requirements of IPX8 (2h, 1m). The Scotchlok connector is also listed according to UL and CSA.
