The 3M™ Heat Shrink Tubing HDT-A is a rigid, thick-walled and halogen-free heat shrink tubing range that ensures reliable performance for electrical splices, connections and terminations up to 1.0 kV as well as mechanical and environmental protection. HDT-A heat shrink tubing has a flame-retardant, cross-linked polyolefin outer wall and a factory-applied adhesive layer on the inside.The 3M™ Heat Shrink Tubing HDT-A is a thick-walled heat shrink tubing made of modified, radiation-cross-linked polyolefin. It is suitable for use on all plastic and ground cables for both outdoor and underground installations. It is used to insulate and seal connections of all kinds, especially as an outer tube for control cable sets. It has an adhesive coating on the inner wall for better sealing. The extremely age-resistant heat shrink tubing is UV-resistant and resistant to many chemical influences. Its shrinkage rate is four to one and it can be used in a temperature range of -55 °C to +130 °C. It is self-extinguishing and complies with the Lloyds Register of Shipping MIL-I-23053/15 test standard.
