Contactors AFC09 to AFC38 from 4 to 18.5 kW AC-3 (400 V) represent the compact series with AC control. They are mainly used to control three-phase motors and in general to control power circuits up to 690 V AC or 220 V DC. The contactors can also be used for many other applications such as insulation, capacitor switching or lighting. The single-level, 3-pole contactors of the AFC series are designed in block construction with a conventional wound AC solenoid coil. AFC contactors can be equipped with the standard AF accessories. Flexibly interchangeable coil connection terminals allow connection from above, below or from above and below. Attachable accessories are 1- and 4-pole auxiliary switches that can be plugged onto the front and 2-pole auxiliary switches that can be mounted on the right and left. For front coil connection, an additional auxiliary switch block with 1 NO + 1 NC and coil connections A1 and A2 is available. All auxiliary break contacts are designed as mirror contacts in accordance with IEC60947-5-1 Appendix L. Additional accessories such as quenching elements, wiring aids and locking elements, etc., complete the range.
