RV4-1/130 is a varistor surge suppressor designed to reduce the maximum surge peak value and limit the high bias frequencies that occur when a contactor is operated in the control circuit. Opening a contactor coil can cause high voltage peaks of several kV, which can cause interference and damage to sensitive electronics in the system. The RV4-1/130 can operate with a control voltage of 50 ... 130 V AC 50/60 Hz. The RV4 suppressor is mounted directly on the AFC contactor, either on top or bottom, and encloses the coil connection terminals. RV4 are specially designed for AFC contactors or NFC relays.
