The PSTX370-600-70D is a demo device. Parameters and settings can be tested here, but it is not possible to connect a motor because no thyristors are installed. PSTX soft starters from ABB offer complete motor protection in one device and also work in the event of load or mains irregularities. PT-100, residual current, overvoltage and undervoltage protection, together with many other functions, make your motor safer than ever before. PSTX offers three types of current limitation: standard, dual and ramp. This gives you full control over your motor when starting. When the full ramp voltage is reached, PSTX activates its built-in bypass. This saves energy and reduces the heat generated by the soft starter. A user-friendly and clear display saves time and resources during setup and operation. PSTX also offers many functions for application optimization, e.g. torque control: the most efficient way to start and stop pumps. The pump cleaning function can reverse the pump flow at intervals and thus loosen foreign objects or buildup, ensuring the availability of your pump system. The slow forward and reverse inching operation increases flexibility, for example when operating conveyor belts and cranes.
