SPD type 2 surge protection devices with QuickSafe® technology, tested in accordance with DIN EN 61643-11, are suitable for protecting low-voltage electrical systems and end devices from dangerous surges. The SPDs meet the surge protection requirements set out in DIN0100-443 and 534. All surge protection devices are compatible with the System pro M compact series and can be connected to these via phase rails. All devices are equipped with a function display. The versions with reserve varistor(s) offer additional protection for the electrical system in that the surge protection device is not completely disconnected from the mains at the end of its service life, but an additional varistor guarantees basic protection and the system is therefore still protected until the surge protection module is replaced.
