Installation relays E297 are electromagnetically operated miniature contactors with a width of 18 mm (1 module unit). These installation relays can be used to design reliable consumer control. The installation relays are generally used via a control switch (permanent contact) where, for example, lighting, air conditioning, a fan or similar is to be controlled. The device remains in the on position as long as the control voltage is applied to the coil. If the control voltage is interrupted, the installation relay always returns to the rest position (off position). Thanks to their optimal switching capacity, they are also suitable for applications in industrial environments and in situations where it is necessary to ensure control of more powerful consumers (such as several lighting groups). The use of an optimized coil (low power loss = lower operating temperature) ensures trouble-free and safe use in the electrical distribution board. The quiet switching noises and the hum-free magnet system also justify use in public buildings and private households. Depending on the type, the installation relays can be controlled with common AC/DC control voltages and are designed for a rated current of 16 A.
