Combined lightning and surge protection device SPD type 1+2, for protecting low-voltage consumer systems against lightning currents and surges. Tested SPD type 1 and type 2 in accordance with DIN EN 61643-11. The devices can be used as surge protection devices in accordance with 0100 part 443 and part 534, as well as within the framework of the lightning protection zone concept. The devices are compatible with the System pro M compact series. The SPD with TS can optionally be equipped with a potential-free changeover contact. The versions with reserve varistor (s) offer additional protection for the system in that at the end of its service life the surge arrester is not completely disconnected from the mains, but an additional smaller varistor continues to guarantee basic protection and the system is therefore still protected until the surge arrester is replaced.
