Surge arresters type 2 of the QuickSafe series are suitable for protecting low-voltage electrical systems and terminal devices in the 230/400V system. The devices can be used as surge arresters in accordance with 0100 Part 443 and Part 534 as well as within the framework of the lightning protection zone concept at zone transition 0B - 1 and higher. The high nominal discharge capacity of 20 kA enables an increased service life compared to the minimum requirements of the standard. The devices consist of a base unit and plug-in protection modules, which can be easily removed to carry out insulation measurements. They are fully compatible with the installation devices of the pro M compact series and can be connected to them via phase rails. Circuit breakers from this series can also be used as backup fuses. The surge arresters are tested as type 2 arresters according to the test standard DIN EN 61643-11 (VDE 0675 Part 6-11) and class II according to IEC 61643-11.
