The Terra AC wall charging station offers a tailor-made, intelligent and networked charging solution for every company, every home and every location.
Future-proof flexibility
Thanks to smart features, the wallbox is able to regulate its power consumption and optimize the charging process, today and in the future. An external energy meter can be connected via an RS485 interface to enable dynamic charging management, save electricity costs and prevent unwanted triggering of protective devices.
OCPP for communication with backend
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) regulates communication between a charging station and a backend system. Thanks to OCPP, you can easily control one or more charging stations with a backend system and, among other things, view individual charging processes, manage users and bill for the electricity charged.
RFID locking function
Only users whose RFID cards are stored on the charging station can charge at your charging station. With an RFID charging card, electric car drivers unlock the charging station and start the charging process. An RFID card is supplied with each wallbox.
Integrated residual current sensor
The ABB Terra AC wallbox has a DC residual current sensor as standard. This means that you only need the inexpensive FI type A for upstream protection.
Compatible with many energy management systems
ABB Terra charging stations can be integrated into and controlled in modern, intelligent building energy systems via the Ethernet interface.
User-friendly apps
ABB offers two apps for the ABB Terra wallbox. The TerraConfig app is exclusively for the installer and enables simple configuration and control (instructions and further information can be found in the Downloads tab). The ChargerSync app for the end customer also offers monitoring management functions. It shows the user the charge level and energy consumption, for example.
Important: The account for the TerraConfig app must be requested here by the installer at least one day in advance. Without an account, the maximum charging power cannot be set, among other things.
