The APC Smart-UPS® XL protects data with reliable, utility-grade power and scalable runtimes. Models are available in tower or rack-mount versions. Units can be configured with up to 10 additional battery modules for runtimes of more than 24 hours if required. Typical systems requiring longer runtimes include mission-critical application servers and storage systems, IP and PBX-based voice networks, and switches and hubs in corporate facilities. The included PowerChute® management software gives IT administrators the confidence that connected systems will shut down properly and provides advanced UPS management features. Additional management features can be integrated via the SmartSlot. This internal expansion slot allows optional accessory cards to be installed to provide further performance optimization options. The Smart-UPS® XL is based on the same technology as the award-winning Smart-UPS® with more than 10 million systems installed. In addition, it offers an extra-long runtime for enterprise applications that require uninterrupted availability.
