The APC Smart-UPS® XL protects data with reliable, utility-grade power and scalable backup times. Models are available in tower or rack-mount versions. Units can be configured with up to 10 additional battery modules for backup times of more than 24 hours if required. Typical systems requiring longer backup times include mission-critical application servers and storage systems, IP and PBX-based voice networks, and switches and hubs in corporate facilities. The included PowerChute® management software gives IT administrators the confidence that connected systems are shutting down properly and provides advanced UPS management features. Additional management features can be integrated via the SmartSlot. This internal expansion slot allows optional accessory cards to be installed, providing further ways to optimize performance. The Smart-UPS® XL is based on the same technology as the award-winning Smart-UPS® with more than 10 million systems installed. In addition, it offers an extra-long runtime for enterprise applications that require uninterrupted availability.
