In the hearing aid, this voltage is amplified by the audio amplifier and passed to the wearer's ear via the earpiece. In order to use such induction loop systems, the hearing aid must have a so-called telephone coil (short: ""T-coil""), which absorbs the alternating magnetic field of the induction loop. The hearing aid microphone is usually deactivated when the telephone coil is used. To be completed with the flush-mounted housing IX9158 or surface-mounted housing IX9166A.
