The DGS-1100-08 switch is part of the DGS-1100 series from D-Link. The DGS-1100 series EasySmart switches from D-Link are an affordable solution for home and small offices, small and medium-sized businesses and large companies that need easy network connectivity in branch offices or conference rooms. The models have a compact, table-sized metal housing and 8, 16 or 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The switches comply with the IEEE 802.3az standard for Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and reduce their power consumption when the ports are not being used. The DGS-1100 series EasySmart switches have a web interface and support the SmartConsole utility. The SmartConsole utility automatically detects all D-Link Smart Switches in a Layer 2 network segment.
