The D-Link standalone media converter DMC-F02SC converts a 10/100Mbit/s twisted pair Ethernet signal into a 100Mbit/s Fast Ethernet multimode fiber optic signal. The maximum fiber optic cable length is 2km, by which a normal Ethernet connection can be extended. A converter can be used quickly and easily wherever different cable media are connected together.
