The D-Link media converter DMC-G02SC converts a 10/100/1000Mbit/s twisted pair Ethernet signal into a 1000Mbit/s Gigabit multimode fiber optic signal. The maximum cable length of the fiber optic cable is 550m, by which a normal Gigabit connection can be extended. A converter can be used quickly and easily wherever different cable media are connected together.
