Residual current circuit breakers (RCCB) switch off the power supply when dangerously high residual currents occur. They thus protect people, animals and systems. DFS 4 are two- or four-pole residual current circuit breakers for single- or three-phase networks. In the standard version, the compact devices are four division units wide. They are available with many different residual current types and versions with rated currents of up to 125 A. The large double-deck terminals can also accommodate large conductor cross-sections. The tripped position of the multi-function switch toggle makes troubleshooting easier. The free label software helps with labeling. Type B switches are universally sensitive. They protect against pulse and alternating residual currents, residual currents with mixed frequencies and smooth direct residual currents at frequencies up to 150 kHz. They are resistant to increased surge currents and storms. SK series residual current circuit breakers stand for residual current protection and high system availability. They are characterized by a lower response sensitivity at higher frequencies. The SK characteristic curve is optimized for systems in which no fire protection is required. Selective residual current circuit breakers are used in systems with staggered distributions. In the event of a fault, only the switch in whose system section the residual current is present is triggered. The selective RCCBs offer fire and fault protection (in the event of indirect contact), but not additional protection (direct contact, personal protection). Standard devices are designed for monitoring circuits with a rated voltage of 230 V/400 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz. Properties: - selective to all undelayed RCCBs, - for systems with high leakage currents in the frequency range >1kHz, - high insensitivity to transient leakage and fault currents due to high surge current strength - high immunity to operational leakage and fault currents at frequencies from 1 kHz, - meets the requirements of the building regulations 0664-10, 0664-40, ÖVE/ÖNORM E 8601 - universal current sensitive for fault currents with frequencies and mixed frequencies from 0Hz (smooth direct current) to 150 kHz, - electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with VDE0664-30 and VDE0839-6-2 (interference immunity for industrial applications) - mains voltage-independent tripping for type A fault currents, - voltage-dependent detection of smooth direct fault currents and alternating fault currents with frequencies 50/60Hz, - full functionality with mains voltages from at least 50VAC on any two active conductors - small size for all rated currents, - high short-circuit strength, - double-sided double-deck terminals for large conductor cross-sections and rail connection, - switch position indicator, - viewing window for labeling labels, - multifunctional switch toggle with three positions: 'on', 'off', 'triggered', - also available in the 'HD' version - neutral conductor position on the left, also available as N on the right at no extra charge. Mounting type: - quick attachment to mounting rail - installation position as desired - feed preferably from above Areas of application: - main distributions in widely extended power supplies with TN-S, TT and TN-CS systems, in whose sub-distributions power electronics equipment is used or can be connected, such as frequency converters, switched-mode power supplies, high-frequency power converters, UPS and photovoltaic systems. In most cases, selective residual current circuit breakers protect the cables from the main distribution to the sub-distribution., - Systems with staggered distribution Notes: - suitable for use in 50 Hz AC networks, - RCCB for other frequencies on request, - Not intended for use in DC networks or on the output side of controlled electrical equipment such as frequency converters. - To ensure selectivity of the RCCB, the rated residual current of the selective RCCB must be selected at least one level higher than that of the downstream instantaneous switch.
