Residual current monitoring devices (RCM) reliably record fault and residual currents and report them without switching off the system. They are used where switching off the system is not possible or desired. Residual current monitors of the DCTR series are compact and easy to install. The evaluation device is already integrated. The device continuously records the level of the current leakage and fault currents and, depending on the variant, outputs them proportionally as a 4-20 mA signal or via Ethernet. If the response threshold is exceeded, a potential-free changeover contact switches. A multi-colored LED signals the status. Residual current monitors with residual current characteristic B record pulsating and smooth DC residual currents as well as AC residual currents up to 100 kHz. Devices of this variant allow extensive configuration of the frequencies or frequency ranges to be evaluated, as well as setting the response thresholds for the alarm relays. The Ethernet interface transmits the measured residual current values via the Modbus TCP protocol. Properties: suitable for detecting type B fault currents, monitored frequency range 0 Hz 100 kHz, rated voltage of the monitored circuit up to 690 V, compact, robust plastic housing, easy installation, configuration of various settings and output of the residual current values via Ethernet, 2 configurable alarm relays with potential-free changeover contacts, operating voltage via PoE (Power over Ethernet) or 24 V DC direct connection, mounting type: the device is attached to load-bearing surfaces or a mounting plate using the existing screw points, areas of application: the monitoring device is suitable for use in power supplies of functional buildings and industrial plants with TN-S, TN-CS networks, IT networks and direct current networks, e.g. B. in server rooms of data centers, in laboratories, in the automotive industry and in connection with PV and UPS systems with transformerless inverters, air conditioning systems, frequency converters, switching power supplies, high-frequency converters, printing machines and packaging machines. Suitable for monitoring DC circuits and systems in which electronic equipment can cause smooth DC fault currents or fault currents with frequencies other than 50 Hz. Notes: The individual configuration is carried out using the DCTR Manager software.
