Load disconnectors or main switches completely separate electrical consumers or system components from the electrical supply across all poles. They also switch under load or overload. They are used to switch off for maintenance work and to protect systems. The devices in the DHS 4 series are load disconnectors or main switches in a four-pole design in which the N contact is switched on leading and switched off lagging. Their design means they fit in perfectly with the look of the DFS residual current circuit breakers. The DHS can be expanded to include an auxiliary or fault signal switch, which enables the switching status to be displayed and further processed. Properties: high short-circuit resistance and high switching capacity, double-sided double-deck terminals for large conductor cross-sections and busbars, switch position indicator, viewing window for labels, mounting type: quick attachment to mounting rail, installation position can be changed, areas of use: particularly suitable for use in main distribution boards in extensive power supplies, e.g. B. for campsites, marinas, allotments, showgrounds, etc. Notes: In accordance with EN 60947-3, load switches, isolating switches and load-break switches are used in practice as main switches. The load switch must switch on, carry and switch off currents under operating conditions in the circuit (including a specified operational overload). In the off position, no isolating function is required. A load switch is therefore not suitable for safe isolation in the sense of international installation regulations. In the off position, isolating switches must meet the corresponding requirements for an isolating function, but only currents of negligible magnitude need to be switched during operation. The combination of both designs is the load-break switch, which combines both properties and can therefore be used universally for safely isolating electrical systems.
