contactor is an electromagnetically operated remote switch for large electrical outputs. A larger current can be switched using a lower current. They ensure galvanic isolation between the control circuit and the switched circuit. Installation contactors in the HS series switch very quietly and have extremely low hum. They are characterized by their long mechanical and electrical service life. Their magnetic coil is suitable for continuous operation (100% duty cycle). Devices of this design are operated with a control voltage of 230 V AC. They switch incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, transformers for low-voltage halogen lamps, high-pressure mercury vapor lamps (HQL, HPL), metal halide lamps (HQI, HPI), sodium vapor, low and high-pressure lamps, storage heaters or drives (motors). Notes: - The designation of the devices in this series includes both the rated current (first pair of numbers) and the contact design (last pair of numbers): an HS25-31, for example, has a rated current of 25A, three normally open contacts and one normally closed contact. - At ambient temperatures above 40°C, the use of the spacer RD05 is recommended.
