The latest Dyson digital motor took seven years to develop and the result is one of the smallest fully integrated 1000-watt motors in the world. This powerful motor draws up to 20 litres of air per second through a HEPA filter. Hands are dried in 12 seconds.

12 second drying time
Tests based on NSF protocol P335 (NSF: National Sanitation Foundation) show that most other hand dryers are much slower than their manufacturers claim. Many people give up when using a slow hand dryer. But wet hands can spread up to 1,000 times more bacteria than dry ones.

Hygienic hand dryer
Other hand dryers are unhygienic. They do not filter out bacteria or viruses from the washroom air. They suck in contaminated air, which then hits the hands. The Dyson Airblade V hand dryer uses two HEPA filters. 99.9% of bacteria and viruses are removed from the washroom air. This means that hands are dried with clean air and not with contaminated air.

Dyson Airblade hand dryers are the only hand dryers that have been validated as hygienic by the non-governmental US health authority NSF International. These are the only hand dryers that meet all the requirements of the NSF P335 protocol. In addition to a fast drying time and HEPA filters, it offers. Lower running costs

Low environmental impact
Dyson Airblade hand dryers produce up to 79% less CO2 than some other hand dryers and up to 76% less CO2 than paper towels.*

*Dyson has worked with the Carbon Trust to develop a method to measure the environmental impact of electric hand dryers and paper towels. CO emissions calculations were made using PE International's GaBi software and are based on 5 years of use of the device. The USA is used as a representative location. Product drying times were calculated using DTM 769.
