The Ethernet Communication Interface ECI is used for networking in large xComfort systems. The ECIs are connected to one another via a LAN network (existing or additional LAN network). The ECIs also communicate with the xComfort radio system. Depending on the application, the ECIs can be configured as LAN routers or area nodes. If xComfort routing is not possible, LAN routing can be used. If individual floors on which xComfort is used are to be networked via LAN/WLAN, the ECIs can also be used as area nodes. MRF 2.0 or higher is required for commissioning. System integration for 3rd party applications, such as central hotel software, is also possible. Installation is carried out using a mounting base plate on the wall. The ECI-LAN is supplied via the existing network (POE Power Over Ethernet).
