The field isolation switch interrupts the power supply after downstream consumers are switched off, thereby preventing disruptive electromagnetic fields. Small consumers with a current consumption of up to 200mA are permitted, which do not prevent the field from being switched off after larger consumers are switched off. The limit value does not have to be set manually, but is learned by the FR12 itself using a patented process. Consumers with a current consumption of more than 200mA are always defined as consumers who should initiate the connection of the mains voltage. As long as no major consumer is switched on, the monitored circuit remains 1-pole disconnected from the mains. The neutral and protective conductors are not switched to prevent an antenna effect. An adjustable direct voltage with low residual ripple is used for monitoring. Bridging the working contact is therefore not permitted and will destroy the device. When a consumer is switched on, the line disconnector switches on the monitored phase conductor with a delay of approx. 1 second and the LED lights up red.
