Cross-wiring of bus and power supply with plug-in bridge. The FBA14 bus coupler can connect different bus parts and also feed in power supplies. Bus parts on different mounting rails or in other distributors or control cabinets are each connected with an FBA14 and a 4-wire shielded bus cable, e.g. a telephone line. The total length of all connecting cables should not exceed 100 m. The second terminating resistor, which is only 9 mm wide and is included with the FAM14 or FTS14KS, must be plugged into the last actuator. The bus coupler can be positioned anywhere in a series 14 device series. The 4 wires of the bus line are connected to the -12V, +12V, RSA and RSB terminals of the two FBA14s. The wire bridge inserted at the factory into the lower terminal block at arrow left +12V arrow right must remain installed. This wire bridge also remains installed if a SNT12-230V/12V DC-1A switching power supply is connected to the -12V and +12V terminals for power supply redundancy. If the power supply of the entire RS485 bus from the switching power supply in the FAM14 or FTS14KS is not sufficient, a SNT12-230V/12V DC-1A switching power supply can be fed in via the -12V and +12V terminals of the bus coupler to increase the power. The wire bridge must then be removed. The actuators to the left of the bus coupler are supplied by the FAM14 or FTS14KS, the actuators to the right of it by the supplied switching power supply.
