Powerline telegrams from the power grid that are taught into the gateway are automatically translated into Eltako radio telegrams and sent. Radio telegrams that are taught into the gateway are translated into powerline telegrams and modulated onto the power grid. Pressing the reset button puts the PL-FGW into learning mode. The rotary switches are used to select whether radio or powerline telegrams are to be taught in. A powerline sensor that is to be taught in is automatically assigned a free radio channel when operated in learning mode. Up to 80 powerline sensors or feedback signals can be taught in. A radio sensor to be taught in is assigned the function of a universal, direction or central button via the slide switch of the PL-FGW. The powerline address that the radio sensor should address in the future is set via the rotary switches g and e. In addition to radio buttons, Eltako radio sensors such as window contacts and motion detectors can also be taught in. Control functions via Professional Smart Home Controllers for dimmer, heating and roller shutter control are also possible. The conversion into appropriate powerline telegrams for PL actuators is done automatically. Up to 100 different radio sensors can be taught in. All entries and configurations can also be accessed via the power grid using the Sienna-Professional PC software. This can then be used to select other functions that are not available when teaching in directly via rotary switches. The gateway can also be put into learning and deleting mode so that manual teaching can also be carried out without direct access to the device. The PL-FGW also serves as a relay station for communication between the PL-SAMTEMP temperature controllers and Enocean FKS-MD1 actuators. Up to 20 actuators and PL-SAMTEMP are managed here.
