Phase dimmer with DALI control input for the DIN-EN 60715 TH35 mounting rail. 98x17.5x56mm. Protection class IP20. Suitable for dimming 230V LED retrofit lamps via DALI. Conversion of the DALI dimming level into a voltage with trailing edge or leading edge phase control. The minimum dimming level (MIN LEVEL) can be set via DALI. Additional operating mode as a switch (DT7 compliant) from firmware 3.5. The module represents a participant on the bus and can be addressed accordingly. Double connection terminals for easy looping through of the DALI bus. Dimming range 0.1%-100%. Supply voltage 230V AC. Output load range 10-300W. High efficiency. Configuration via DALI Cockpit PC software. Function: The DALI-PD is an interface between classic dimming technology (phase dimming) and DALI based on the standard for DALI Control Gears (IEC 62386-102) and Device Type 4 devices (IEC 62386-205). The DALI-PD interface converts the desired dimming level into a corresponding voltage signal with phase on or off. The universal dimmer works as a trailing edge or leading edge phase dimmer depending on the load. The operating mode can be queried via DALI (DT4). The dimming characteristic is logarithmically scaled according to the DALI standard. The leading edge/trailing edge phase control delivers a sinusoidal voltage on/off. The PHYSICAL MINLEVEL is 3%. From firmware version 3.5, the DALI-PD has an additional operating mode. It can be switched from the DT4 (phase dimming) operating mode to DT7 (switch). In this operating mode, the DALI-PD behaves like a switch. The behavior in this mode corresponds to the DALI standard for DT7 devices (IEC62386-208). In this operating mode, the switching characteristics are determined by comparing the virtual lamp power level (VDAP) with 4 switching thresholds. The virtual lamp power level (VDAP) corresponds to the dimming value of a DALI ECG and is subject to the corresponding properties (limitation by MINLEVEL and MAXLEVEL, dimming speed by fade time and fade rate). There are 2 switching thresholds for each dimming direction, which are used for comparison with the virtual lamp power level: A threshold with the value MASK is inactive and is not used for comparison. Fading can be used to implement switch-on and switch-off delays. The device is supplied by the DALI bus, so the SYSTEM FAILURE LEVEL is only partially supported. For current devices (identifiable by firmware > 4.0) you can choose between 0%, 100% and MASK, for older devices the SYSTEM FAILURE LEVEL is fixed - for the 25W variant 100% is output, for the 300W variant 0%.
