Test adapter for testing the open circuit voltage of welding machines in accordance with EN 60974. The test adapter is used in conjunction with a SECUTEST or a multimeter to test welding machines in accordance with the EN 60974 standard. By using a bridge rectifier, no polarity reversal of the welding voltage is required, which shortens the test time for the open circuit voltage by 50%. The peak value rectifier of the SECULOAD-N uses the 1N4007 rectifier diode recommended by the standard. This diode is a mains rectifier diode and, due to its principle, is only suitable for voltage sources with a low clock frequency in the range of the mains frequency or for voltage sources with a conventional transformer. However, there are welding machines on the market that use clocked voltage sources with significantly higher clock frequencies. These can generate switching pulses with high voltages that are not fully recorded by the peak value rectifier of the SECULOAD-N. The voltage output by the SECULOAD-N can be significantly below the peak values in the output voltage of the welding machine. This must be taken into account when assessing the measurement results! Test adapter, test leads with crocodile clips, operating instructionsNote: In conjunction with SECUSTAR FM, a multimeter with peak hold, e.g. METRAHIT TECH / XTRA, is also required.
