The Homematic IP smoke alarm is an optical scattered light smoke alarm with Q-Label validation. It is maintenance-free thanks to a 10-year battery life. The LED emergency lighting when an alarm is triggered provides additional warning and security. It can also be used as a siren, e.g. for a burglar alarm, in the Homematic IP security solution. The extended insect protection with metal mesh around the smoke chamber makes the RM201 very robust. The screws and dowels supplied make installation quick and easy. A large, easy-to-use button for function test and mute function as well as self-test and battery monitoring functions are other useful features of the Homematic IP smoke alarm.
