The Homematic IP dimmer socket is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and can dim and switch lights connected via a plug. The dimmer actuator is designed as a compact intermediate plug so that it does not block any adjacent sockets when plugged in. Since the actuator is a trailing edge phase dimmer, the dimmer socket can dim classic incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, dimmable energy-saving lamps and most dimmable LED lamps and switch them on and off. The fully electronic trailing edge phase dimmer is particularly optimized for energy-saving lamps with a switching capacity between 3 and 80 VA. The modern electronics make operation possible without any noise. The light output can be dimmed directly on the device or conveniently in 0.5% increments wirelessly via a remote control, a wall switch or the free smartphone app.
