The Homematic IP water sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably detects moisture and water levels from a height of 1.5 millimeters. For example, the Homematic IP water sensor loudly signals a leak in the bathroom or basement via the integrated siren and via push message in the Homematic IP app to one or more of the residents' smartphones. In addition to the alarm via the integrated siren, the water alarm can also be signaled via the Homematic IP alarm siren (HmIP-ASIR) at any other location in the home. The triggering behavior of the water sensor can be easily adjusted in the free app depending on personal preference. Thanks to the wireless communication, battery operation and spring-loaded measuring probes, the Homematic IP water sensor can be used flexibly in the house or apartment and on a wide variety of surfaces. The device also has an inclination sensor built in, which immediately detects and reports unwanted movement or manipulation.
