With the Homematic IP Wiegand interface, many Wiegand-enabled devices, such as a code lock, a fingerprint sensor or a card/transponder reader, can be integrated into the Homematic IP system. The Wiegand interface can be set up according to individual requirements and Wiegand-enabled devices can be intelligently integrated using the Homematic IP app. This makes access to the smart home not only secure, but also smart and convenient. The Wiegand interface has eight virtual input channels that can be individually linked to Wiegand codes. A Wiegand code can thus control one or more virtual input channels and thus trigger one or more actions (such as switching a switching actuator, opening a door via a door lock drive or activating/deactivating alarm functions). In addition to the Wiegand inputs, the device has an input for connecting a bell button, an input for connecting a tamper contact and a switching output with versatile application possibilities.
