The Homematic IP 'Heating Basic' special offer package is the entry into smart heating control. The access point sends a particularly reliable IP radio protocol based on 868 MHz. It offers high security thanks to comprehensive AES encryption and a server location in Germany. The access point is connected to a conventional router via a network cable. The Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat Basic (HmIP-eTRV-B) is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and actively helps to save energy. The smart controller replaces conventional radiator thermostats, which can achieve energy savings of up to 33%. The thermostat is mounted on the radiator without interfering with the heating system and without tools and is ready for use immediately thanks to a preset heating profile. The Homematic IP app can be used to set three individual heating profiles per day with up to 13 changes. This means that Homematic IP only heats certain rooms when they are really needed. The device can be set up flexibly on the device itself or using the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point).
