The Smart Home Starter Set 'TWO' is the entry-level solution for smart, energy-saving heating control. The set consists of the Homematic IP Access Point (HMIP-HAP) and two Homematic IP Radiator Thermostats - basic (HmIP-eTRV-B). The Access Point is used to connect the smartphone to the Homematic IP cloud and the Homematic IP devices. It forwards the settings and configuration data as well as the operating commands from the smartphone to the Homematic IP devices. The Access Point sends a particularly reliable IP radio protocol based on 868 MHz. It offers high security thanks to comprehensive AES encryption and a server location in Germany. The Access Point is connected to a conventional router via a network cable. The Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat - basic is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and actively helps to save energy. The smart controller replaces conventional radiator thermostats, which can achieve energy savings of up to 33%. The thermostat is mounted on the radiator without interfering with the heating system and without tools and is ready for use immediately thanks to a preset heating profile. The Homematic IP app can be used to set three individual heating profiles with up to 13 changes per day. This means that Homematic IP only heats certain rooms when they are really needed. The device can be set up flexibly on the device itself, using the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point). You can also access the Homematic IP system at any time while on the go using the Homematic IP app. If you want, you can also conveniently control your Homematic IP radiator thermostat using voice commands using the Homematic IP Skill for Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. It gets really smart when combined with a Homematic IP window and door contact: if this registers an open window, the radiator is automatically turned down. When the window is closed again, the radiator also starts working again. The radiator thermostat can be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system using the app. The cloud solution, for example, enables the temperature to be set at any time and from any location.
