The LCN-BU4L is either a 4-way button converter or a binary sensor for potential-free contacts with low voltage (max. 24V AC/DC) for all LCN bus modules from version 140719 (July 2010). As an S0 interface, corresponding counters can be evaluated. The alarm sensor function enables the evaluation of reed contacts with integrated resistance. The 4 inputs of the LCN-BU4L evaluate signals to ground (blue input terminal). The inputs are galvanically isolated from the I connection. The LCN-BU4L can be switched using DIP switches so that it works as a button converter or as a binary sensor. The S0 counter and alarm sensor modes are set using LCN-PRO. When used as a key converter, the commands 'Short', 'Long' & 'Go' are triggered in the A table, and when used as a binary sensor, the commands 'Long' & 'Go' are triggered in the B table. When used as a binary sensor, the LCN-BU4L triggers Long & Go in the B table (button 1..4 or 5..8) and sends the corresponding status message. When used as a key converter, conventional buttons can be evaluated. As a binary sensor, timer or window contacts (permanent contacts), for example, can be evaluated. The S0 interface can evaluate corresponding meters for consumption measurement. The alarm sensor function enables the evaluation of reed contacts with integrated resistance.
