The LCN-BS4 is a 4-channel binary current sensor for the LCN system. Inputs 1 to 4 can be used for motor positioning of up to four AC drives with limit switches. The LCN-BS4 is connected with its connecting cable to the P connection of one of the intelligent modules, e.g. LCN-HU, LCN-SH or LCN-LD. If the limit current is exceeded, the LANG command is triggered once and if it is undershot, the LOS command is triggered once. An LCN module with a binary sensor automatically sends status messages without these having to be parameterized in the LCN module. The LCN-BS4 binary current sensor is used to monitor consumers and for motor positioning. It can be used to monitor lamps or pumps for failure and report them for maintenance work, for example. In conjunction with an LCN-R8H relay module, motor drives for windows, roller shutters, blinds or awnings can be positioned with an accuracy of up to 0.5%. This is used for controlled room ventilation, shading and roller shutter control. The module automatically compensates for differences in running times between different drives and signs of aging.
