The screw-in resistance thermometer enables temperature measurement in liquid and gaseous media due to the temperature dependence of the electrical resistance of its built-in platinum sensor. With a 2.5 m long connecting cable made of metal braid and threaded protection tube, the resistance thermometer is designed for temperatures from -50 to +300 °C. An important selection criterion is the reliable tightness for measurements under both negative and positive pressure. This screw-in form is therefore ideal for applications in air conditioning and refrigeration technology as well as in heating, furnace and apparatus construction. The threaded protection tube with the dimensions M8 x 25 mm is made of stainless steel 1.4571 and protects the measuring insert against chemical influences and mechanical damage. The resistance thermometer according to DIN EN 60751 (class B) is designed as 1 x Pt100 in a three-wire circuit. The connecting cable is shielded and the transition is both strain-relieved and provided with an anti-kink spring. The permissible ambient temperature of the cable is -50 to +350 °C. The connection ends are provided with wire end ferrules.
