The thermometer has a stainless steel housing (1.4301) with a diameter of 80 mm. The measuring system used works according to the principle of the bimetallic coil, which acts directly on the pointer via an axis. The temperature can be read on a white scale with black lettering, which is protected by a high-quality acrylic glass pane (PMMA). The temperature is displayed in °C and °F. The maximum process temperature reached is registered and displayed by an additional drag pointer. The housing has protection class IP55 and can be used in limit temperatures from -30 to 80 °C; the nominal position is arbitrary. The device is attached using a stainless steel protective tube with a diameter of 8 mm and a screw connection thread is G 1 Form A according to DIN 3852/2. The immersion tube outlet extends radially downwards from the housing. Since no additional auxiliary power is required, the device is ideally suited for energy-saving temperature measurement. Furthermore, it is insensitive to ambient temperature influences. The device is used, among other things, in transformer construction. It can be used universally and is suitable for local temperature measurement.
