Thanks to its galvanized sheet steel housing, the 1-pole mechanical built-in thermostat is very robust and can also be used under harsh conditions. The measuring system used works according to the liquid expansion principle and can be used without any problems up to a maximum permissible sensor temperature of 575 °C. The smooth round sensor made of high-quality stainless steel has a diameter of 8 mm and a sensor length of approx. 158 mm. The thermostat's long-distance line is also made of stainless steel and can be laid flexibly, provided a bending radius of 5 mm is observed. The maximum permissible ambient temperature on the switching head (protection class IP00) is 80 °C. The switching head is attached using a fastening bridge with two M3 x 22 screws. The desired switch-off temperature can be easily set on a scale using a screwdriver. The temperature limiter is characterized by a high switching point accuracy of +0/-5%. A decisive advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made to the flat plugs (A 6.3 x 0.8 DIN 46244) of the switch set, which can directly switch a maximum permissible switching capacity of AC 230 volts / 16 A. The thermostat has an unlocking difference of approx. 10% of the scale range, below which the device can be unlocked simply by pressing a button. The temperature limiter is very flexible and is used in heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and furnace construction and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate cabinets. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has UL and EAC approval.
