Thanks to its impact-resistant housing made of high-quality plastic, the 1-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat with changeover contact is very robust and can also be used under harsh conditions. The measuring system used can be used without any problems up to a maximum permissible sensor temperature of 120 °C. The sensor cable of the thermostat is made of copper. The cable can be laid flexibly as required, provided a bending radius of 20 mm is observed. The maximum permissible ambient temperature on the housing is 80 °C. For physical reasons, the ambient temperature on the housing must be 2 K above the set switching point in order for the device to work correctly. The housing is attached directly to the lower part of the housing as a wall mount. With the help of a screwdriver, the desired switch-off temperature can be easily set on a scale after removing the housing cover. The set switch-off temperature can be viewed at any time through a viewing window in the housing cover. The safety temperature monitor is characterized by a high switching point accuracy of +/-2 K. A decisive advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required to measure the temperature. The electrical connection is made using PushIn© terminals, which significantly reduces installation time compared to conventional screw connections. The maximum permissible switching capacity is AC 230 volts / 16 A. If the temperature on the sensor cable falls below the set target value over a length of 30 cm, the circuit terminals 1 - 2 is opened and the circuit terminals 1 - 4 is automatically closed. The thermostat has a switching difference (hysteresis) of approx. 0.5 to 2.5 K and automatically switches back to the original state after the switch-off temperature is exceeded by this value.
