Description
The Limitor-PTD high-voltage fuse is a back-up fuse. It protects transformers in combination with air or gas-insulated switchgear against the thermal and dynamic effects of short-circuit currents. Mersen only uses the best materials to ensure high quality: the fuse element is made of pure silver, the caps are made of silver-coated copper and the fuse body is made of ceramic. It can be used indoors and outdoors, does not age and trips very quickly. The Limitor-PTD high-voltage fuses are specifically developed for use in high-voltage switchgear. Siemens and Ormazabal recommend the use of Limitor-PTD HH fuses in their gas-insulated switchgear.
