The switches in the Xelity® series are developed and produced in Germany, but they are still inexpensive. When fully developed, the family will include unmanaged and managed switches. The very compact components will be equipped with 4, 6, 8, 16 or 24 ports. In the short term, unmanaged devices with 4, 6 and 8 RJ45 ports will be available. The appearance will be the same across all switches. Push-in terminals for the power connection make commissioning easier. The switches can be supplied with redundant power to ensure maximum system availability. They are also resistant to electromagnetic influences. The switches prioritize PROFINET protocols. It is possible to transmit data packets at up to 100 Mbit/s. They can be used in a wide temperature range from -25 to +60 °C. UL validation enables worldwide use. The unmanaged switches from Murrelektronik enable the uncomplicated and compact networking of Ethernet participants. They are a robust solution for industrial applications in harsh environments, for example in machine tools and packaging machines. They are vibration-proof, insensitive to EMC influences and suitable for a wide temperature range.
