Stepless starting, reduction of current peaks, avoidance of mains voltage fluctuations during start-up, relief of the power supply network, reduction of the mechanical load in the drive, considerable space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, maintenance-free switching and extremely easy handling. The integrated bypass enables the very compact design and ensures less heating in the control cabinet. Intelligent monitoring functions protect the soft starter from overheating and the motor from overload. You can also limit the current during startup to an adjustable maximum value. Thanks to 3-phase control, it is particularly suitable for high motor power and delta circuits. The innovative torque control ensures optimal motor startup. Integrated display for quick commissioning and status displays. Provision of energy data, e.g. via PROFINET. Worldwide approvals (e.g. IEC and UL/CSA). The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V in a wide power range with different control supply voltages and consistently with screw and spring-loaded connections. For 3RW30/40 there are additional variants with 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3 and all 3RW44 also offer thermistor motor protection. Optional communication modules enable connection via PROFIBUS and PROFINET. A display and operating module is also available for installation in the control cabinet door.
