The modules can either be plugged directly into an ET 200pro CPU or connected to a central controller via PROFINET or PROFIBUS. The connection to the central controller is also possible wirelessly via WLAN, which enables the SIMATIC ET 200pro to be used in electric overhead conveyors, driverless transport systems, in building management and in warehouse logistics. Thanks to its extensive range of modules, it is used in particular where a finely modular structure with different functions is required under harsh environmental conditions.
