SIMATIC DP, connection module for digital electronic modules ET 200 PRO, 2xM12, 8-pin The SIMATIC ET 200pro is a very robust and powerful modular decentralized I/O system for installation outside the control cabinet directly on the machine with protection class IP65/67. The modules can either be plugged directly into an ET 200pro CPU or connected to a central controller via PROFINET or PROFIBUS. The connection to the central controller is also possible wirelessly via WLAN, which enables the SIMATIC ET 200pro to be used in electric monorail systems, driverless transport systems, in building management and in warehouse logistics. Thanks to its extensive range of modules, it is used in particular where a finely modular structure with different functions is required under harsh environmental conditions. The separation of the module and bus/power connection technology enables a module to be exchanged during operation (so-called hot swapping), which, in conjunction with the detailed diagnosis, ensures the availability and productivity of the machine. The system offers a very broad portfolio of modules. In addition to various digital and analog input and output modules in a wide range of design levels, a range of fail-safe modules are also available for use up to SIL 3 / PLe. The ET 200pro system offers integrated solutions specifically for motor control in the form of motor starters and frequency converters, which are also available as fail-safe variants. An IO-Link master and a module for connecting RFID components via the RS 232 / 422 interface round off the portfolio.
