It is used for sequential processes with alternative or parallel step sequences. The processes are configured and programmed clearly and quickly in a standardized representation (according to IEC 61131-3, DIN EN 61131). The process is described graphically and broken down into individual steps with a manageable range of functions. Actions can be defined for the steps and their execution controlled. Transitions (transition conditions) regulate the transitions from one step to the next. Interlocking and monitoring conditions are defined for each step. S7-GRAPH is already included in STEP 7 Professional (TIA Portal).
