The Brake Relay enables a connection to be established between the Power Module and an electromechanical motor brake. This allows the motor brake to be controlled directly with the Control Unit. The Safe Brake Relay has the following interfaces: a switch contact (normally open) for controlling the coil of the motor brake, a connection for the molded cable (CTRL) for connecting to the Power Module. The Brake Relay can be mounted on the shield connection plate in the area of the power terminals of the Power Module.
