APPLICATION: Safety group for pressure-resistant (closed) wall storage tanks and small over-sink storage tanks in accordance with DIN 1988, DIN 4753 and DIN EN 1488, up to a supply pressure of max. 0.48 MPa in the cold water pipe. The assembly includes a shut-off valve, non-return valve and a replaceable diaphragm safety valve with a response pressure of 0.6 MPa. The overpressure safety valve prevents the permissible operating pressure of the hot water storage tank from being exceeded. In addition, the KV 40 safety group is equipped with a pressure reducing valve (pressure reducer). The non-return valve prevents the backflow of heated drinking water into the pipe network. The expansion water can be drained into the drain line via the enclosed funnel siphon with rosette and connection accessories. EQUIPMENT: Pressure reducing valve, safety valve, shut-off valve, backflow preventer, funnel siphon, rosette, chrome-plated connection accessories. INSTALLATION AND SERVICE: The safety group KV 40 is simply installed in the cold water supply line in front of the hot water tank in accordance with the specification. The safety valve can be opened using a rotary handle for quick and easy maintenance. The pressure reducing valve in accordance with DIN EN 1567 can reduce excessive cold water inlet pressure to the required system pressure. In addition, the cold water supply line of the subsequent installation (e.g. a hot water tank) can be closed using the shut-off valve, thus enabling service-friendly maintenance work. The components of the KV 40 are interchangeable. SAFETY AND QUALITY: The KV 40 safety group consists of a high-gloss chrome-plated brass housing, is manufactured with low lead and is DVGW tested. The safety valve is component tested. The connecting pipes are made of chrome-plated copper pipe. The plastic parts correspond to the KTW recommendation. All materials are designed and manufactured according to recognized technical standards.
