Frameless mirror heating elements from the VM series are suitable for surface mounting on the wall. The maximum surface temperature is 80°C. The weight of the VM09060 is 12.4 kg. The infrared heater is produced in a sandwich construction and consists of a single-pane safety mirror (ESG glass mirror, smooth on the room side, 6mm thick). The mirror heater has a 1.2 m long connection cable. The device cover is made of aluminum, with a bare surface. The heating element can be mounted on the wall in portrait or landscape format. The heating element should be mounted so that the cable connection is at the bottom. Warm walls are better than hot air because the temperature difference between the wall and the room air acts like a natural vapor barrier. As long as the wall is warmer, no water vapor is introduced into the wall from the room air and the wall remains dry. Although the temperature difference between the inner and outer building envelope increases, the heat loss through the wall (transmission) decreases overall. Under these conditions, the heating requirement drops significantly, especially in vapor-permeable buildings, provided the building envelope is intact and has no structural defects.
