The three-sided cable box consists of a galvanized sheet steel housing, lined with fire protection agent that foams up in the event of a fire. The fire sealing is functionally separate from the cold smoke seal and works independently of the seal. The functionality of the cable box is not interrupted by subsequent installation work. The cable sealing is delivered as an industrially prefabricated and functional component that is ready for assembly and is mortared or plastered in on site. The 3S Box is the ideal sealing solution for cables and empty pipes that are routed directly on the ceiling through the wall OR on the wall through the ceiling. Since the box only has three sides, a graphite strip is glued to the open side between the wall or ceiling and the open side of the cable box. The box is then screwed under the ceiling or onto the wall. Incorrect and over-occupancy are almost impossible due to the design. The included EasyFoam foam plugs are used for cold smoke sealing. They have a much lower density and are therefore easier and quicker to process than, for example, fire protection plugs. The cables and the housing are sealed with a permanently elastic sealant (e.g. silicone or acrylic) or with the EasyFoam fire protection assembly foam B1. Installation under ceilings in light partition walls and solid walls from 100 mm thick. Installation on solid walls in solid ceilings from 150 mm thick. The cable box can be 100% occupied with cables of all types (without limiting the cable diameter) and with electrical installation conduits in accordance with DIN EN 61386 with and without cable occupation up to a diameter of 63 mm. In addition, the sealed cable box can be installed without occupation as a reserve bulkhead. When occupying, no gaps are necessary between cables, cables and empty conduits and empty conduits among each other. There are no additional restrictions on cable types and cable diameters within the empty pipes. Ideal for drywall construction, as the box can be attached to the ceiling before the wall is finished. This cable box is also very easy to use with existing cabling. We offer sheet metal duct extensions for this cable box so that it can also be used with thicker ceilings. Installation is carried out in accordance with the enclosed installation instructions or ABG Z-19.53-2517. No processor validation is required for installation.
