Acoustic box E System Wichmann ®. E = Extended = A sound-decoupled acoustic box for very good damping of airborne sound. The acoustic box E does not protect against fires, but ensures quiet thanks to its wave-shaped waffle foam. It is particularly suitable for sound-decoupled walls and flying cabling. The box consists of two parts, each of which is screwed onto one side of the wall or ceiling. Two acoustic boxes must therefore be used per feedthrough. The component opening itself always remains open. The frame of the box lies flat after screwing and seals against the wall or ceiling with foam rubber. This solution eliminates the need to mortar the box in and subsequently seal the feedthrough with silicone or acrylic. The cover of the housing can be opened at any time using tension locks. This means that cables and lines can be quickly re-inserted and/or the foam layers removed and cut to fit the laid cable routes. The sound insulation values can be found in the technical data sheet. Installation is carried out in accordance with the enclosed installation instructions. No processor validation is required for installation.
